Project Sites

1. Bangkok: Headquarters of Vision Thailand, the Dream Team and DreamFM Radio.

Pastor Sangwien's Siam Bangkok Church (also known as the Dream Center) is the home church to about 30 young Thai professionals who have dedicated themselves to full-time Christian service. We call these young missionaries and leaders the "Dream Team" because they are making the dream of sharing Christ with Thais become reality. This group is Vision Thailand's specialized evangelism and church planting team. We have been praying for God to send workers into the harvest, and He is providing them. Praise God! The church has facilities for training, worship, media preparation and living quarters. The radio tower sits on top of the Dream Center, and the studio is on the second floor. DreamFM radio is becoming an effective "unseen evangelist." Results are already amazing.

At present the owner of the facility has asked that we either buy the property by the end of November, or relocate to another site. The Vision Thailand Board feels strongly that this property is central to our ministry in Thailand, and therefore that we should purchase it, with the help of God and His people. We are looking to God and His people to raise about $450,000 for the purchase and another $50,000 for updating and expansion of our headquarters. There is a great demand on space.

2. Life Development Center of Koh Kho Khao

The development center has a training venue, a sanctuary and other outstanding facilities on the island of Koh Kho Khao. The Center was built with the help of over 1000 volunteers. The property is registered under the Thai Baptist Foundation, and a Joint Board with three participating foundations has been established to operate the center, including the Thai Baptists, Vision Thailand Foundation, and the Evangelical Free Foundation. We are excited about the ministry potential of this great facility. Vision Thailand is very much part of a ministry that will be governed and operated by Thais for Thais.

3. Church Plants

Vision Thailand has a charter called Thailand Christian Fellowship, which operates under the Thailand Religious Affairs department. This charter allows us to plant churches legally in Thailand and the Vision Thailand Foundation allows us to own and register church properties. In January of 2010 we had nine churches planted, with a goal of 15 church plants by the end of that year and many more in the future. Evangelists and church planters have been trained and churches are being planted. God is doing a mighty work!
